Naoto helps Takemichi to return to the future by shaking his hands which becomes Takemichi’s method for time traveling. Takemichi eventually makes it back to the past and attempts to halt the murder. He and Hinata are murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang, and this devastates Takemichi. Naoto Tachibana is also another major character in Tokyo Revengers. Takemichi, however, seeks to stop this, and Hinata eventually finds out that he has been time-traveling. This does not work, and he has Hinata killed in every present timeline for rejecting him.
